Hello
About Reesie’s Marvelous Hats
Founded online in 2021 and expanded with a storefront in 2023, Reesie’s Marvelous Hats is Massachusetts’ first and only Black woman-owned inspirational hat boutique, proudly located at 743 Washington Street in Stoughton, MA. The boutique offers a thoughtfully curated collection of hats—each one named with empowering themes like Uplifting, Magnificent, and Sensational—designed to inspire confidence and celebrate individuality.
What began as an online brand rooted in purpose and self-expression has grown into a vibrant physical space for creativity and connection. Reesie’s provides opportunities for local artists and authors to showcase their work, hosts hands-on Fashion A Fedora workshops, and serves as a welcoming hub for collaboration, storytelling, and inspiration.
The brand also plays a meaningful role in the community through events like the annual Alopecia Awareness celebration, hosted by Co-founder Carla Smith at a local venue. These gatherings foster education, visibility, and healing for individuals and families impacted by hair loss.
As seen on GBH News' Rooted series,https://youtu.be/hKWTKkVmvUw?si=j3MfzQoo4EynkRP- Reesie’s Marvelous Hats shares the powerful story behind its inspirational hat names—each one designed to uplift and reflect the inner strength of those who wear them.
Fueled by the message “Be That In A Hat,” Reesie’s Marvelous Hats is more than a boutique—it’s a movement of style, confidence, and community impact.

Our Mission
At Reesie’s Marvelous Hats, our mission is to empower individuals to embrace their confidence, walk boldly in their purpose, and uplift their communities—one hat at a time. We believe that when people feel good about themselves, they radiate that positivity outward, creating a ripple effect of impact and inspiration.
Each hat is more than fashion—it’s a symbol of self-worth, personal growth, and the belief that we all have the power to stand tall and shine. Through meaningful designs, community connection, and storytelling, we aim to inspire people to invest in themselves and one another.
We’re not just creating hats—we’re creating movements of confidence, culture, and community. Together, we make a difference. Together, we Be That In A Hat.
